Leandro Sekito and Evandro Badia, executives from the French industrial technology company Dassault Systèmes, attended the 1st Manufacturing 4.0 Meeting, promoted by Teclógica in Blumenau. They presented changes driven by digital transformation. The event also featured examples of factories aligned with innovation.
How to keep Brazilian industry competitive in the face of a new global economic scenario? What are the innovations arriving on the shop floor and what results do they bring to businesses? These and other questions were the highlights of the 1st Manufacturing 4.0 Meeting, promoted by Teclógica last week in Blumenau.
Among the highlights of the event was the participation of Leandro Sekito and Evandro Badia, specialists from the French innovation company Dassault Systèmes, of which Teclógica is a partner in Latin America. The executives spoke about the importance of investing in new technologies for industrial competitiveness and Brazil’s maturity in the face of this scenario.
“Brazil has always been a country of many opportunities and is making positive progress toward making its economy more open. The previous model we had followed a protectionist format, but with the help of technology, the country will be better prepared to respond to international competition. We will see many positive advancements in the coming years,” they pointed out.
“The industrial segment has suffered a lot in recent years and clearly understands the need to pursue efficiency. In this sense, it is essential to monitor different variables, such as customer satisfaction levels, market demand estimates, consumer/client desires, manufacturing efficiency, and proper manufacturing planning. These tasks represent real challenges, and this is where digital solutions play a fundamental role: capturing, combining, and processing data, turning it into information, and presenting it in the correct context to support decision-making. When a company makes the right decisions at the operational, tactical, and strategic layers, it will naturally achieve the necessary efficiency,” commented the executives, reinforcing that solutions developed by Dassault and marketed by Teclógica, such as the Delmia Apriso system, support this essential transformation for growth.
Industrial Renaissance in Brazil: Is It Possible?
For the Dassault team, there are still some challenges that need to be overcome for the country to adapt to the new industry scenario in the context of Manufacturing 4.0: engagement and expectation alignment among the teams involved, eventual misguided experiences that cast doubt on technological advantages, labor costs, and short-term views of results are some of them.
“Despite the challenges, we believe that Brazilian companies are indeed prepared for this new moment in the sector. This reactive profile of the industry is quite common in emerging economies, but the country is now on par, in terms of challenges, with developed nations. This is because there is a global moment of conceptual review, and this era of innovation and information brings very similar challenges to industries worldwide. Brazilian communication and creativity, which are so well recognized, will be facilitators for the success of Industry 4.0 in the country,” they reinforced.
Finally, Leandro Sekito and Evandro Badia emphasized that there is a new mindset in the way companies operate and measure their success. “There was a time when buying another machine or expanding a production line were synonymous with increasing company value. Today, intangible variables—such as the ability to understand customers and the market in which they operate, as well as innovation capacity—are gaining more and more importance,” they concluded.
New Positioning in the Industrial Technology Market
During the 1st Manufacturing 4.0 Meeting, Teclógica also presented the case study of Grupo Boticário, which, with the company’s support, managed to modernize the shop floor to improve processes, reduce costs, and gain more control over management. A panel featuring all three companies closed the event, discussing the digital era for the Brazilian market and showcasing the daily lives of those who bet on solutions to optimize production.
The meeting marked a new positioning for Teclógica, which has just announced the promotion of executive Aloísio Arbegaus to commercial director of the company. The company thus reinforces its strategic vision of consolidating itself as a promoter of Manufacturing 4.0.
“Our goal is to reinforce Teclógica’s presence in Brazil and throughout Latin America as a partner of Dassault Systèmes in the commercialization, implementation, and maintenance of the Delmia Apriso and Delmia Ortems solutions. We are consolidating ourselves as a company that ensures end-to-end engagement with the client, guaranteeing optimized delivery, high quality, and visible results,” highlighted Aloísio.
The 1st Manufacturing 4.0 Meeting also had the support of regional entities such as Sintex and Simmeb.
