Luiz Carlos Mesquita Scheid, director of Teclógica, in an interview with the Baguete website, shares some news about the MOBUSS Platform and Teclógica’s operations in the Brazilian market.

Teclógica, from Blumenau, launches Mobuss, a platform for creating mobile applications resulting from the work of the recently created mobility products area, for which the company projects investments of R$ 1.2 million in 2011 alone.
With Mobuss, it is possible to create products, applications, or transfer parts of legacy systems, such as ERPs, to mobile devices. On the platform, which is sold under the SaaS model, all communication channels between components require a digital certificate for data encryption.
There is also integration with georeferenced systems and route tracking for location and logistics optimization. “We intend to simplify data synchronization between applications, providing tools for secure and guaranteed data exchange among different technologies. To achieve this, Mobuss supports a wide variety of mobile operating systems”, says Luiz Scheid, director of Teclógica.
The platform is the result of projects already developed by the Santa Catarina-based company in the mobility area, such as one carried out for AES Sul, involving a solution that allows the execution of field service orders, unifying information from the commercial, technical, and operations areas.
“The project provided a unified view of the services to be executed and their respective priorities, benefiting about 200 field teams and managing approximately 5,000 service orders daily”, states Luiz. “Directly, about 500 people benefit”, he adds.
According to Luiz, the first product created from Mobuss will be launched in November, focusing on the civil construction segment. For the next two years, the projection is to develop at least four more products on the platform.
Specialized in consulting, systems development, and application management, with CMMi certifications in each of these areas, Teclógica serves clients such as Souza Cruz and AES Sul. In addition to the mobility consulting area, the company also recently entered the unified communications market, launching a business unit that, according to the company, is expected to account for about 10% of total revenue in its very first year, which currently stands at around R$ 15 million annually.
Channels
Another piece of news from Teclógica is the initiation of indirect sales operations. Today, about 20% of the company’s sales are in the Southern region, but it has clients not only throughout the country, but also in Mexico, Argentina, and the Caribbean, all of which had been served from Blumenau, remotely, or by dispatching/allocating professionals when necessary.
“In some cases, we also establish local partnerships”, explains the company’s managing partner, Luiz Carlos Scheid. However, with the expansion of the offering, increasing sales and service capacity became essential, leading the company to set a goal of consolidating at least five channels by next year, focusing initially on the South and Southeast regions.
