The FlexNet working framework, produced by Apriso, has the main objective of expanding and improving legacy ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning, such as SAP, for example), trying to reduce the “empty space” between the ERP and the shop floor. It was developed on the Microsoft .NET platform following WEB standards, integrated with Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Services), meaning it can be accessed from anywhere, as long as you have the proper permissions.
It is a comprehensive solution and much more than a traditional Manufacturing Execution System (“MES”). It is a new generation of Manufacturing Operations Management (“MOM”), and a platform composed of modular activity-level suites: Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Labor. Thus, enabling manufacturing excellence.
It allows complete synchronization with the ERP for visibility and control, enabling you to centralize control in the ERP and manufacturing operations in FlexNet, providing management on a global scale.
The available modules are:
-
FlexNet Production
-
FlexNet Quality
-
FlexNet Maintenance
-
FlexNet Time & Labor
User interaction with the application occurs through the FlexNet Portal, which features a simple and friendly graphical interface with all pre-provided functionalities and information from new applications developed to meet the company’s specific business needs.
Teclógica’s latest work with the product took place in early March 2013, when an upgrade from version 9.3 to 9.5 of the framework was performed for a client who stated it was one of the smoothest transitions they had ever participated in.
