Following the resumption of industrial activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, experts point to a positive scenario for the next year. According to research by IPEA, the GDP of industrial activities is projected to increase by 3.6% in 2021.
With this in mind, partner companies Teclógica and Dassault Systèmes organized the 2nd Manufacturing Meeting, which took place online. The event discussed topics regarding production planning and its financial impacts on companies.
Among the topics, the speakers addressed subjects such as:
- Excel vs. APS Systems;
- The use of KPIs for the shop floor;
- Trends for the industry;
- How to achieve gains by better planning production.
Among the guest experts for the chat were Dassault executives Luiz Egreja and Vanessa Maciel. The event also featured industry professionals sharing testimonials on how production planning works in their companies’ routines.
Why apply production planning?
According to Aloisio Arbegaus, Commercial Director at Teclógica: “We know that saving resources and reducing costs is one of the biggest challenges to achieving industrial efficiency at this moment. Therefore, for the 2nd edition of the Manufacturing Meeting, we demonstrated with practical examples how and why to apply production planning on your shop floor, using KPIs such as ROI and Payback.”
The event was supported by industrial associations such as SIMMMEB, Simpesc, and Sintex and took place online on November 12, 2020, at 10:30 AM.
“We want to invite everyone who missed the event to watch the recording. We prepared content that is very special and rich in insights, and we are sure it will clarify many questions for professionals who do not yet have a well-designed production plan,” Aloisio concludes.
The 1st Manufacturing Meeting took place in October 2019 in Blumenau/SC, featuring Leandro Sekito and Evandro Badia, Dassault specialists. The chat presented a case study with the presence of Grupo O Boticário, which, with the support of technology, managed to optimize the shop floor and its processes, reducing costs and gaining more control over management.
