Teclógica annually carries out internal initiatives among its employees. One of them, focused on the social sphere, is Solidarity Christmas. In 2022, the company raised funds to purchase hygiene and food products for the Lar Bethel Welfare Association.
The entity, created in 1988, is located in the Velha Grande neighborhood in Blumenau and is a non-profit organization. The location is dedicated to early childhood education for children in the local community.
Lar Bethel serves 113 children from 0 to 6 years old, full-time, from Monday to Friday. According to Edna Gonçalves, Project Director, the goal is to have a space where children can build their knowledge and expand their experiences.
“Our mission is to serve children in situations of vulnerability and/or personal or social risk, providing them with comprehensive care through socio-educational activities aimed at their holistic and harmonious development; respecting them in their specific stages of development and individuality; defending their rights and the practice of citizenship”
The importance of participating
Clovis Vasselai, CEO of Teclógica, commented on the importance of helping local institutions dedicated to our community. This often does not require grand gestures, but can start with simple things.
“As a company from Blumenau, we are committed to supporting projects focused on the education of our youth and children. Whether by attending college events to answer questions and introduce students to the professional market, or by engaging with educational projects in the IT area, such as our partner Pacetech.”
In this context, employee engagement is a fundamental factor. “Whenever possible, we seek to foster internal actions geared toward the social sphere. Donations and fundraising are always strongly embraced by our employees,” adds Clovis.
More about Lar Bethel
The food and hygiene items purchased with Teclógica’s donations were delivered at the Lar Bethel Christmas party. The association is maintained through funds raised by participating in Blumenau events, such as the Friendship Fair and toll collection drives.
In addition, it receives assistance from the department of education, promotes actions to sustain the project, and accepts donations of school supplies, food, cleaning and hygiene products, clothing, footwear, and toys.
